Chile celebrates legalization of same-sex marriage

After Chile’s House approved on Tuesday a bill that legalizes same-sex marriage, equal rights organizations across the South-American country celebrated. Chile becomes the 8th country in Latin America with a legalized same-sex marriage after the House passed the bill, originally presented by president Michelle Bachelet in 2017, with 82 votes in favor, 20 against, and 2 abstentions.
