Chile Today & The Weekend

SANTIAGO – Thank God it’s Friday! In need of inspiration for the weekend? Santiago is – as always – full of activities, cultural events and sparkling nights out. Get excited, with the following things:

Friday September 7th:

Nightlife

  • Club Amanda : Located in the heart of Vitacura, Club Amanda hosts Puerto Viejo, so you can dance all night long!
  • Santiago Rooftop : A party mixed in with culture where all expats and locals are welcome to mingle! It takes place at Casona Patrimonial in the center of the city, a building built back in the 1900s.

Fairs

  • Fonda at Parque Bustamante : Come celebrate Fiestas Patrias like a local! All weekend long, the Fonda will take place at Parque Bustamante offering typical food, live folk music, Cueca classes and countryside breakfasts.

Culture

  • Claude’s Cave / The mysterious world of Claude Debussy : The Teatro Universidad de Chile presents Claude Debussy, with an attractive and powerful choreographic style. With his funny but dark look upon the humanity, you will not want to miss this Ballet.
  • Express Down Memory Lane : Ever wonder how the trains used to work in Chile? Take the route from Estación Central until San Antonio, and get to see and feel what it was like traveling back in the 1950’s. The fare includes the roundtrip, breakfast and afternoon tea, and live music!

  • Espacio Riesco : For those who love reggaeton, famous artist J Alvarez will be playing at Espacio Riesco! What more do we need to say

  • Beer Run : Calling all runners…who also love beer! It’s all about fun people, enjoying beer with or without alcohol during a fun 5 km run. Who said alcohol and exercise couldn’t be put together?
  • Yoga White Experience : For the first time in Chile, yoga, art and LIVE classical music come together at the Museum of Contemporary Art to bring you an experience like no other yoga session has done before.

Fun For All

  • Swing and Jazz : Swingtiago (Santiago’s Swing and Jazz School) hosts a fun afternoon in the middle of Patio Bella Vista to launch its new cycle, bringing together locals and artists by giving lessons on how to dance this universal style!

Sunday September 9th
