Photo Series: Thousands Protest Violence Against Women in Santiago

SANTIAGO – On Nov. 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was celebrated across the globe. In Chile, where this year already 35 femicides took place, women marched in most cities. In Santiago, thousands of protesters gathered for a creative and strong manifestation against violence. Later that night, the protests turned violent. However, during the day, the march was peaceful.
