CONCEPCIÓN – Two Chilean soldiers have been injured during an assault at their regiment on Tuesday morning. Their automatic weapons were stolen. One of the soldiers ended up getting stabbed.
The two soldiers, both doing their military service, were on guard around 04.00 on Tuesday morning at the Chacabuco Regiment in Concepción, when they were assaulted by at least two people. The soldiers were intimidated with firearms and had to hand over their automatic weapons.

After having been disarmed, one soldier was stabbed, while the other was punched in the face. The entire attack took place at one of the few spots in the regiment without camera’s, raising suspicions that the assault was an inside job.
The Police Department of Investigation (PDI) have announced that they will open an investigation.
