In part two of the interview, shot at the banks of Lago Lleu Lleu, Hector Llaitul explains more about the origins of Wallmapu, how his movement was formed to recover land stolen by the Chilean State and how his movement and Mapuche in general are being persecuted nowadays. He talks about the operation Huracán and how State policies are not focused on inclusion but on extermination. Llaitul says his movement won’t open dialogue with the government, as long as there is military presence in the region. The spokesman of the CAM criticizes the former and the current government and explains how his movement fights the forestry industry in the region. He also explains how the military in southern Chile only worsens the conflict, and how his movement will respond to this military presence.
